Waypoint Construction is a custom builder working in the hills north of Birmingham. The firm accepts a small number of new residences and significant renovations each year, in close partnership with the clients and architects who commission them.
From a 1970s brick traditional, to a house built for another century.
Reproportioned through the addition of a centered portico, dormers added to the upper roofline, the entire brick envelope reclad in cream Alabama limestone, the surrounds replanted from foundation to canopy. The house now sits quietly in the landscape above Shoal Creek.

Waypoint Construction works in the hills north of Birmingham and along the ridges overlooking Logan Martin Lake. We build a small number of houses each year in close collaboration with the architects and clients who commission them. The work is rooted in the materials and light of Central Alabama — Alabama limestone, live oak, longleaf pine — and shaped by the demands of a humid subtropical climate.
